In early July 2011, Tokokoo WordPress ecommerce themes developer team was contacted by Dan Milward a.k.a Master Jedy –founders of Getshopped.org. They were looking for people who would like to craft default theme for WP ecommerce. As we know, Getshopped are famous for their WordPress e-Commerce (free WP shopping cart plugin) that had been downloaded over 1.3 million times.

Those awesome people also said that they prefer a user-friendly, highly-usable theme like the one that BuySellAds have on their website.

It’s an honor and we felt very excited about the idea. So, after a little chit-chat, we decided to accept this challenging offer. We promised it would take approximately three weeks of working: one week for designing, two remained weeks for integration purpose.

What Were On The Theme Requirements List?

Firstly, the theme should be installable without the WP e-Commerce so it can be used for blogging. Secondly, it goes well with the free version of WP e-Commerce. Next, it can provide ‘shell’ for Gold Cart (premium version of WP e-Commerce). Last, we will make it available to be used with BuddyPress, too.

Here is one more good news: we made it! We have finished building the theme as of the end of July 2011. Once it is available to download, we will publish the theme to all WPEC users. For f-r-e-e. Can you imagine that?
